In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’ve teamed up with Backline to dive into the intrinsic relationship between the ocean and our mental health.
Research into ‘Blue Health”, the study of aquatic environments’ health benefits, provides another reason to protect the ocean and to responsibly use coastal spaces!
This body of research also highlights the need for governments, policymakers, and urban planners to better understand the benefits of blue spaces, in order to provide fair and inclusive access for all—no matter where you live (think: more community fountains and affordable housing near water sources).
