Many commitments and pledges were made at COP26, but we couldn’t help feeling frustrated by the lack of ocean-centric climate solutions.
The ocean is one of our greatest allies in mitigating climate change, and it should not be overlooked in climate strategies. We now see our mission and role in the climate movement are more vital than ever before. We are going to continue to educate communities, institutions, and governments about the importance of the ocean, inspire them to care deeply about protecting our blue ecosystems and empower them to champion inclusive and regenerative ocean solutions.
