Oceanic Global Short Film Festival 2022

Inspiring positive change through filmmaking.

Inspiring positive behavioral change at all levels is required for us to live in balance with nature. In this digital age, filmmaking is a universal language that can create this bridge.

The first edition of the Oceanic Global Short Film Festival launched in Summer 2020, spearheaded by London Hub, to support emerging filmmakers with an interest in sustainability, by providing exposure through Oceanic Global and festival partner platforms and by presenting the opportunity to have their films viewed by a team of critically-acclaimed directors, producers, and filmmakers.

In light of the success of the first edition, the London Hub is hosting a second edition of the Short Film Festival around the theme ‘A Celebration of Change‘, which aims to inspire audiences worldwide by showcasing positive and hopeful environmental storytelling.

The event will bring together a panel of critically acclaimed judges to review submissions and select a set of the winning films for this year’s edition. The prizes for the final films selected by the jury include mentorship sessions with selected judges and/or award-winning filmmakers, as well as a free kit hire worth £1000 from New Day Pictures (available for UK finalists only), one of the UK’s leading Film & TV Equipment Hire Companies.

Oceanic Global hosting an in-person film screening, in partnership with Soho Friends, at the Electric Cinema White City in London surrounding Earth Day.

The screening premiered the top 3 films selected as the 2022 Short Film Festival winners and featured a panel discussion on the power of film as a medium for driving action with winning filmmakers and partner, Eco Resolution.

We are thrilled to announce the top 3 films, selected as the finalists by our panel of expert jurors, for the 2022 Oceanic Global Short Film Festival!
