Mandarin Oriental Bangkok goes Plastic-Free

Oceanic Global awards the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok with the Plastic-Free Badge of The Oceanic Standard!

Oceanic Global partnered with Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok (MO BKK) to eliminate single-use plastics throughout the location over a two-year period in accordance with the brand’s ambitious sustainability KPIs.

In November, 2020 the MO BKK location was awarded with the Plastic-Free Badge of The Oceanic Standard for its work in reducing single-use plastics.

MO BKK removed over 50 types of single-use plastic items from their operations, including 638,603 single-use plastic bakery packaging items, 194,450 single-use plastic bags, 91,000 single-use plastic cutlery, and 170,100 single-use plastic bathroom amenities.
