Oceanic Global’s NYC Hub in collaboration with artist Kalina Juzwiak (IG: @bykaju) created a conscious coloring book to spread awareness about the issue of marine plastic pollution in a fun and engaging way for young people. The book was released in honor of World Oceans Day 2020.
This book serves as a reminder that artistic expression and creative communication play a crucial role in the ocean conservation movement, and that our next generation of ocean leaders is engaged and dedicated to finding solutions. Use this book as an engaging educational tool to teach young people about marine plastic pollution and how we all can be a part of the solution.
Did you know that you can find plastic wherever you go? It is even hiding on the beach!
-80% of plastic in the ocean comes from land-based sources (IUCN)
-More than 380 million tons of plastic are produced every year (Science Advances)
-It’s estimated that 4,900 million metric tons of plastic have accumulated in landfills and in our environment worldwide (Science Advances)
Learn about plastic pollution while you color in the pages.
