Our featured artists believe that art is a universal language that appeals to emotion, and has the potential to inspire action for positive change. We interview artists from around the world to address aspects of marine conservation most relevant to them and to their locale.
Through the diversity of projects featured, “The Current” displays how varying mediums can be activated to spread a message and engage public interest. From paintings and photographs to street murals and sculptures made from ocean plastics, artists are inspiring innovative approaches for science communication.
