Blue Standard

Earth Love Fest

Oceanic Global partnered with the House of Yes as the sustainability, educational, and charity partner for the second edition of Earth Love Fest.

2024

Oceanic Global partnered with the House of Yes for the third year in a row to implement the Blue Standard at Earth Love Fest—a day-long party that brings together thought-leaders, art, educational programming, sustainable businesses, and community members to raise awareness about climate change, sustainability, conservation, and environmental issues.

In addition to the eco-marketplace and music performances – Earth Love Fest also hosted a series of panel discussions showcasing the work of locally-based nonprofits including Oceanic Global, as well as environmental scientists, eco activists, artists and small business owners. The Oceanic Global team was onsite and spoke as a panel feature discussing the vital role of nonprofits in creating change for our Blue Planet.

Oceanic Global also worked with the House of Yes Team including vendors throughout the event to ensure Earth Love Fest met the criteria of the Blue Standard. The event took significant efforts to remove single-use plastics onsite, implement comprehensive waste management and composting through Grow NYC, reused / recycled all decor items from Materials for the Arts, featured local talent & DJ’s and much more.  The day’s program included a Blue Seal Award ceremony where an Oceanic Global Hub Member presented the award on-site to verify House of Yes’s efforts.

Earth Love Fest once again demonstrates that large scale events can minimize wasteful practices to operate in balance with our Blue Planet, and more importantly, bring together all levels of community to inspire action.

2022

Oceanic Global partnered with the House of Yes as the sustainability, educational, and charity partner for the second edition of Earth Love Fest—a day-long party that brings together thought-leaders, art, educational programming, sustainable businesses, and community members to raise awareness about climate change, sustainability, conservation, and environmental issues.

As the educational partner, Oceanic Global curated the panels and keynotes throughout the day as well as co-curated the workshops and eco-marketplace on-site.

The conversations focused on revitalizing ocean action, sustainable business leadership, and responsible consumption, and the day’s program included a workshop hosted by NYC Hub member and partner, the Climate Journal Project, to address climate anxiety aligned with our year-long Ocean & Wellness campaign. Members of the NYC Hub also moderated discussions and helped represent Oceanic Global at the marketplace.

Oceanic Global also worked with the House of Yes team as well as the food truck vendors to ensure the event met the criteria of the Blue Standard’s 3-Star Plastic-Free Blue Seal!
