Oceanic Global, alongside Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA), is honored to be the non-profit and content partner to the ULTRAMARINE Ocean Action Summit. ULTRAMARINE is an annual summit hosted on Richard Branson’s Necker Island that aims to inspire greater action and solutions to ensure a healthy, vibrant and resilient ocean.
The 2021 virtual event was open to the public and brought together scientists, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and thought-leaders including Philippe and Ashlan Cousteau, Dr. Sylvia Earle, Dr. Cliff Kapono, Jeffrey LeBlanc and Stiv Wilson discussing how we can take action and implement solutions to ensure a healthy, vibrant and resilient ocean.
The ULTRAMARINE 2021 Ocean Action Summit themes include:
· February 3rd: Tackling Plastic Pollution, Presented by Oceanic Global
· February 4th: Protect Marine Life, 30X30, Presented by SOA and Oceanic Global
· February 5th: Regenerative Ocean Economy, Presented by SOA
Virtual programming took place at 9AM – Noon EST daily.
The virtual event was hosted on Hopin to allow for breakout sessions and other interactive elements. In addition, the event will be live-streamed and publicly available on the Ultramarine and Oceanic Global Facebook page.
