Oceanic Global + Plastic Pollution Coalition (PPC) are partnering with aligned missions to help mitigate the plastic pollution crisis and protect our blue planet. To do so, PPC as an organization has become an independent Blue Consulting Partner and will help guide its Business Members through Oceanic Global’s Blue Standard Verification.
Oceanic Global and Plastic Pollution Coalition have partnered to help mitigate the plastic pollution crisis. The two NGOs, which have historically each offered aligned programs focused on transitioning businesses and industries away from plastics globally, are now working together to further establish and incentivize universal adoption of plastic-free and other environmentally responsible business practices. Plastic Pollution Coalition is now offering its coalition’s Business Members additional verification through Oceanic Global’s Blue Standard (Blue), a first- of- its- kind cross-industry standard that empowers businesses to eliminate plastic pollution, implement effective waste management infrastructure to minimize waste, and adopt comprehensive sustainability measures that protect our blue planet.
PPC as an organization has become an independent Blue Consulting Partner and will help guide its Business Members through Oceanic Global’s Blue Standard Verification. By awarding qualifying Business Members with the Blue Standard, Plastic Pollution Coalition offers their coalition tangible recognition for meeting Blue’s requirements as well as for the leadership they have already demonstrated in meeting Plastic Pollution Coalition’s robust Criteria for Business Membership.
With hundreds of Business Members already a part of Plastic Pollution Coalition, the coalition’s collaboration as an independent and trained Blue Consulting Partner will also expand upon Oceanic Global’s reach and capacity to verify businesses through Blue. The synergistic alignment will optimize the unique strengths and offerings of both organizations and ultimately help catalyze positive change towards a just, equitable future free of plastic pollution.
