Destination Haus, Hamptons

July 7, 2018: Destination Haus in Amagansett, NY exhibited Founder and Photographer Laureen Vellante's ocean-centered artwork and raised funds for Oceanic Global.

Destination Haus, based in the Hamptons, NY, is a Gallery & Home Decor business representing 20 artists from around the world. On July 7th, 2018 they partnered with Oceanic Global to exhibit Founder and photographer Laureen Vellante’s ocean-centric artwork as part of a series of events celebrating the Hampton’s Magazine 40th anniversary.

Laureen’s photographs capture the beauty and essence of seascapes, oceans, and waves – all inspired by her love and appreciation for the world’s waters. To demonstrate that appreciation, Destination Haus focused the event on raising awareness around the issue of plastic in our oceans.

In that interest, the event was awarded the highest level of the Oceanic Standard, the Ocean Champion Badge, for their efforts to minimize waste and implement sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics. In addition, a percentage of all art sales surrounding the event were donated to Oceanic Global.
